Our need

Picture yourself in charge of the brand before you. If your heart races at the thought, you might want to keep reading. Blue Acorn is looking for a Director of Marketing to increase our brand awareness, improve our standing, and attract our next great clients.

Blue Acorn is a premium brand doing premium work. It takes a lot of time and creativity to make sure that the world knows about it. The Director of Marketing will campaign constantly to get the message out there. Just as importantly, they’ll make sure that message is consistent by managing our brand standards across every channel and measure how well we’re hitting our marketing goals.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Work with CEO and CMO to strategically create, plan, and deliver marketing goals and objectives for Blue Acorn
  • Manage marketing department finances including budgeting, planning and reporting
  • Determine roles, responsibilities, staffing needs within the departments to align with Blue Acorn goals
  • Create a culture of accountability by regularly measuring and analyzing productivity and effectiveness, with a goal of continually improving and developing sustainable results
  • Ensure the marketing department is continuously prepared to meet changing business needs
  • Grow brand recognition in quality and quantity 
  • Maintain high visibility and assure Blue Acorn is known as the expert in the eCommerce industry
  • Build and grow the Blue Acorn image while maintaining a premium but playful brand experience
  • Promote client results through case studies and testimonials
  • Develop relationships with key partners to create co-op marketing campaigns and ultimately generate leads
  • Seek and secure opportunities for thought leadership
  • Build new technology partnerships based on recommendations from the delivery team, client needs and opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to expand or adjust our service offerings
  • Track and share industry competitors and intel

Qualifications and skills 

  • 10 or more years of marketing and brand management experience
  • 8 years or more years of software or technology enabled services
  • 5 or more years of senior leadership experience in marketing management
  • Experience managing a team of 3 or more employees
  • A demonstrated ability and passion to lead, mentor, and motivate team members to get results while empowering the team to be their best selves
  • Ability to oversee brand development and increased brand awareness
  • Experience building and managing a premium brand
