Our need

Reporting to the Lead Project Manager, the Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting project managers with organization and management of internal and external projects. This role involves monitoring tasks, project plans, budget, and coordination of delivery of other deliverables. Project coordinators are expected to complete a variety of different tasks, many of which will vary on a day-to-day basis. A successful Project Coordinator at Blue Acorn is able to manage deadlines, be competent in basic functionality of PM software and Google suite, have at least a basic understanding of the software development lifecycle, have strong math skills, and have strong verbal and written communication abilities.  

Responsibilities and duties

  • Arrange, facilitate, and record meetings for team members
  • Create and maintain project plans
  • Monitor project and task status including schedule, budget, and scope
  • Create and disseminate project status reports
  • Communicate with team members to track and manage tasks to ensure that they are completed with high quality, on-time, and within budget
  • Manage work backlog and collaborate with Project Management team to assign tasks to resources in an efficient manner
  • Develop and maintain Project Management department-related documentation

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or other relevant field of study
  • Prior experience working in a business environment (internship and/or classwork may be acceptable to meet this qualification/requirement)
  • Basic ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Basic ability to prioritize work in an organized manner and multi-task when needed
  • Intermediate verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Basic problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities
