Our need

We're looking for a Delivery Manager who internally manages project teams and is responsible for planning and executing projects according to established budgets, scopes, and timelines.

Responsibilities and duties

Our Delivery Manager is primarily responsible for quality, on-budget, and on-schedule delivery of eCommerce technology solutions. A Delivery Manager is also responsible for project and task management, as well as people and team management. We are looking for someone who is professional, reliable, and pays attention to detail. Most importantly, we seek a team player with the ability to accomplish results as a team leader and as an individual contributor.  

Duties include:

Planning, Shaping, and Schedule Management

  • Creates, maintains, and executes detailed project plans
  • Reviews and approves team hours on a daily and weekly basis
  • Coordinates tasks assignment, monitors progress, and ensures proper task completion
  • Partners with technical leads to execute development cycle planning
  • Partners with technical leads to facilitate dependency and release planning
  • Partners with Data, Insights, and Analytics team to ensure that brand immersion, strategic discovery, design, and other activities are planned and executed in a timely manner in accordance with project schedule
  • Partners with eCommerce Solutions team to create, maintain, and execute discovery and BRD (shaping) schedule; identifies and communicates deviations from established scope
  • Coordinates estimation process and peer-reviews BRDs and estimates
  • Manages internal day-to-day operational aspects of project activities; determines priorities for  individuals and teams
  • Identifies, communicates, and works with team to resolve blockers to avoid schedule impacts
  • Tracks planned effort to actual effort on project tasks and communicates transparently with team
  • Inputs accurate and timely information required for project status reporting

Team and Resource Management

  • Effectively coaches and mentors project team members; consistently acknowledges team member’s contributions
  • Motivates team members to work together in an efficient manner; utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential ensuring they are contributing to improvement of project, team, and their own development
  • Mitigates project team conflict and communication problems
  • Effectively applies Blue Acorn methodology and enforces project standards with team  
  • Identifies resources needed and works with appropriate internal team members in the assignment of individual responsibilities and tasks
  • Provides timely and accurate resource forecast estimates
  • Partners with outsourcing and contract providers as needed

 

Financial Management

  • Manages project against effective billing rate (EBR) target and communicates as appropriate if target becomes at risk
  • Maintains compliance with Blue Acorn processes to ensure accurate financial project reporting at all times
  • Provides timely and accurate revenue forecasts

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelors degree in a business-related field such as Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, Marketing
  • 3+ years experience in a project management role in the technology space
  • Project management (including risk, issue, dependency, process, and milestone management) 
  • Demonstrated leadership, relationship-building, teamwork, and collaboration skills
  • Cross-functional team and people management
  • Budget and financial management including profit/loss, billing, and earned value management
  • Full life-cycle technology delivery experience (including planning, shaping, developing, and transitioning)
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to translate between technical and non-technical people
  • Ability to identify innovative ways to implement projects within established timeframes
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Coaching, mentoring, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities

  • Experience with Magento and Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware), or Shopify platforms
